Ikebana International (I.I.) 6th World Convention, Tokyo, Japan. In 1991, ten Ikebana Iemoto's, Grand Masters presented innovative and outstanding design programs.

I.I. 7th World Convention, Nagoya, Japan. Alternate delegate from the I.I. Portland Chapter. Exhibited on behalf of the Sogetsu Portland Branch at the request of Master Teacher and Branch Director Keiko Kodachi.

AIFD, American Institute of Floral Design, attended National Conventions in 1990, '91, '92, '93, '94. This is where the best of the western floral artists come and share their wisdom and their secrets!

AFS 1990 World Convention, Orlando, Florida. Nine outstanding floral artists competed for the title. Local designer, Joe Taylor, AIFD, won the competition. American Floral Services merged with Teleflora in 1998.

Non-Profits

Former President and Member of Board of Directors, 135 unit Condominium Association, Vancouver, Washington with market value over $350M. Association received national landscaping award and local professional recognition during tenure.

Program Chair and Recording Secretary, each a two-year commitment for the Portland Chapter of Ikebana International

Decorator, Angels and Bows, annual fundraiser for Hospice Program at Portland Adventist Medical Center. Annual goal increased from $5,000 to $15,000, to $30,000. Successfully exceeded each year with many prayers and much help from The Unseen Hand!
