TheSeventhStooge, Believe it or not, alot of what Jim is saying now has “more truth” behind it than you might realize. I know where you’re going with the ‘money aspect’, but the “mega-churches” and “their prosperity non-gospel” is making a mockery out of Christiandom, and that’s why I can know why Jim is ‘upset’. Souls are going to at a rapid pace, the Word is life ‘watered-down’ (and in some cases not even preached), & Jesus is coming back very soon. God help us all.

DryBONESreborn, Not exactly sure what you’re asking here or what statement you’re making. Can you elaborate a small bit more on what you’re asking or talking about? I don’t remember the Bible stating that we’d always be in excellent health, but that ‘He’d’ be with us through “every” trial and difficulty. “You’ve done all you can”, but have you leaned on Him the way He’s questioned us to do”? We need to earnestly check our motives, is it to further the Gospel or for ‘our’ sake? Will be pray for you.

Sadly been in and out of the hospital. 
What’s the diff between life blessed and cursed of God? Even ungodly get cars. I am struggling with health issures that I do not want. Rebuking them, when will they go? I’ve done all I can. ASked God to check my heart gave as well to the poor. I loved giving and volunterring.

My only dread is …
My only dread is that he may be going in the extreme opposite direction when it comes to his attitude towards money. Money is not evil; Jesus spent a lot of time telling people what to do with their money and how to have the right attitude towards it. Otherwise, splendid message. I hope his repentance is sincere and that all of us learn from the sin he committed, that we will not fall into the same trap he did. Look to Jesus, not to money.

The established Catholic place of worship’s punishment for what they considered to be heresy was to burn people at the stake, but that was against Scriptural teaching. Such men included William Tyndale and Thomas Cranmer, who were instrumental in translating the New Testament into the English foreign language.
Jesus never said that we are to kill anyone for any reason, whatsoever. But, read what Jesus said in Matthew 18:15-17. We are not to murder unbelievers.

I say no.Jesus was a man of sorrows.The apostles’ joy was not in the fact that they had plenty of money and earthly wealth.
But they counted it fortunate when beaten or persecuted for the sake of Christ.For them it was splendid prosperity just to be counted worthy FOR the Kingdom of God.
But,having wealth does not necessarily mean one is doomed.
But God used people like Abraham to illustrate spiritual truth.They were not given wealth as an example for us to constantly lobby for God’s favour.
