You can trace a lot …
You can trace a lot of it back to the 1920′s and 30′s. The ahead of schedule Pentecostals taught many of the same equipment taught today. But, in the late 1800′s the teaching was mainly around “health” with teachers like Mary Baker Eddie.
The place of worship has always applied a earthly cause and effect to the promise of God. It comes from not reading scripture correctly or should I say rationally. The Bible can say anything when read analogously. The Bible has to be read as literature and not confused.

    i have a SINCERE …
i have a SINCERE question- where did all the prosperity teachers themselves initially hear the “prosperity gospel” teaching ? where, exactly did this teaching originate from ? where did oral roberts, leroy thompson & the rest of these preachers 1st get this prosperity teaching ?

  9. Rylucero Says:

    May the Lord bless …
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine on you and be gracious to you May the Lord God give you concord May the light of His countenance always shine upon your way May His Spirit be ever by your side. May He hold you

    (In response to Rylucero)

I agree 100%! The thing that scares me is that those teachings are Christianized New Age teaching. The Christianized version will not SAY “I am God” but it will certainly make “me” the center of one’s life in a place where God SHOULD be. I feel that when the Antichrist appears, many Word Faith teachers will COMMAND their followers to follow him. (Of course that gets into another new teaching of going off the deep end in “obeying leadership.” Jesus is my leader!)

  11. Rylucero Says:

    The Word Faith …
The Word Faith Movement in my opinion has the incorrect view of God as it places trust in metaphysics as opposed to trust in God. It relies on a Universal Faith-Force that is in obedience to certain cosmic laws that God also must obey. God becomes something that can be manipulated through Positive Avowal. Word Faith techniques such as Positive Confession and faith are not one in the same as it promotes ones own selfish desires

  12. Rylucero Says:

    The belief that one …
The belief that one is able to wield a metaphysical force with infinite potential is not only an have a crack to deny reality but an have a crack to alter reality itself through the use of cosmic incantation.

  16. EmeiBaguazhang Says:

    The word “Perpetually” …
The word “Perpetually” is not really the word perpetually.
It is the word “Aion”, it means an age.

It is a period of time that is not defined yet.
We don’t know how long it will be.
There are many Aions. God made the Aions. There will be an end to this present Aion.

So how can Aion mean perpetually??
It cannot! It can be of a long or small period of time, but it cannot mean perpetually.

  17. EmeiBaguazhang Says:

  18. EmeiBaguazhang Says:

There is a Lake of …
There is a Lake of Fire. That is a place where the NON chosen are sent to be changed. To be punished, to cured.

Fire will be on the house of God NOW!
We get our changing now, the NON chosen, get theirs later, in the Lake of Fire.

    It is a excellent thing.

  19. EmeiBaguazhang Says:

    There is NO hell.

    There is NO hell.
There is the grave and death, but no hell.
There is a Lake of Fire, but no hell.

  20. johnorigen Says:

    So is your position …
So is your position still certain people will go to only for a time and then be saved later? Is God Jesus using for emphasis only and really has no intention of the word “perpetually”?

  21. EmeiBaguazhang Says:

    And also, to …
    And also, to johnorigen:

There are a excellent number of dreadful translated verses in the Word of God.
Most, that I know of, have to do with Eternity (Aion really importance age or undetermined period of time).
Sheol, Gehenna, Tatarus or Tataroos, Hades (The grave, death, a garbage dump) and Apollumi (importance to abolish, etc.)

There are others but those are pretty messed up.
I mean, you could do the whole Angel thing.
But that is a word study, all on its own.

  22. EmeiBaguazhang Says:

    Initially off, it does …
Initially off, it does NOT say that he WILL kill both Body and Soul in Gehenna, but that God has power to do so.
Secondly, it states that Jesus came to save those that were ruined in Matt. 18:11.
So even if you feel God WILL ruin (Apollumi) souls in Gehenna, you can see that Jesus came to save these very same lost or ruined (Apollumi) souls.
    So where is the problem?
Either you believe God will save the souls through Jesus Christ or you dont.

  23. EmeiBaguazhang Says:

    What do you mean?

    What do you mean?
God is telling us to not dread man. But we should dread God, who has power over killing both Body and Soul in Gehenna. Mankind has NO domain over a mans soul. Only God has that.

Initially off, it does NOT say that he WILL kill both Body and Soul in Gehenna, but that God has power to do so.
Secondly, it states that Jesus came to save those that were ruined in Matt. 18:11.

  24. johnorigen Says:

So what do you do …
So what do you do with Matt. 10:28 And dread not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather dread him which is able to ruin both soul and body in hell.
Matt 18:11 and Matt 10 are said by the same Jesus. Also what is (Miss)? Is this a particular translation?

  25. manhoot Says:

    Really, it is not …
Really, it is not de rigueur to “choose” heaven or hell. If you don’t accept Jesus as your lord and saviour, you are condemned to Hell. Unadorned as that and supported by the scriptures.
