Is general prosperity good for American society?

March 3rd, 2010 | by admin |

recently I am sick of politics. if everyone was happy and we achieved general prosperity, are americans better off?
thanks
new idea for me.
why money can buy love? or wealth can destroy love?

I once did an essay on this topic. I even made a graph showing divorce rates versus economic prosperity as a correlation. They correlate perfectly. The higher the prosperity, the higher the divorce rate.

Bottom line: people stay together because they can’t afford not to. People separate when they can afford to do so.
