    Yup, and that is …
Yup, and that is the cycle of empires. Freedom grows wealth, wealth grows the state, the state grows, it annexes the rst of the world and it dies.

    Somewhat true.. …
Somewhat true.. however, it is in U.S. interests to keep freedom out of other countries regardless of what the people in those countries think. The U.S. has a history of supporting dictators, democratically elected or not. Keeping other populations down is a way of keeping us on top.

He is right! Had the market been allowed to work unfettered, BofA, AIG, GM, Goldman Sachs, etc. would all be out of business by now. Better, more responsible co’s would be well on the way to taking up the slack by now.

    It’s better than …
It’s better than nothing. Managed is better than controlled.

Whoever is the most free benefits the most of the countries, so in the long run, if countries act in their own self intrest they will manage it to total freedom.

    Won’t get into the …
Won’t get into the fallacy of a ‘free market’ with you but it wasn’t a neoliberal but hardcore capitalist conservative that brought Canada into the Free Trade agreements. Our liberals have done nothing to get us out of mind you.

And please, please, please get Canada out of NAFTA so we can sell our resources at competitive prices.

Wonder if he ever criticized Monsanto?
Watch “The Corporation” to see what happened to the consumer reporters that did.

    free market on a …
free market on a domestic level means low regulations and taxes, which will make US more competitive, and not rely on outsourcing. tariffs on a global market is meant to protect US from crackpot neoliberal economic ideas such as Nafta.

@mrzack888 “Free Trade” is why North America is in the shape its in. You can’t have our labour compete with people that not pay our bills.

I’m amazed it took this long to fall apart.

    entities that have …
entities that have turned a blind eye at “ruthless, selfish compitition”, to put it mildly, and we’re told “don’t investigate, let it pass, say yes” by both the crime family Clinton, and the crime family Bush, and the new addition to crime families Obama.. FDA, FCC, SEC, Fannie&Freddie, Congress, FBI, CIA, ATF, HHS, HUD, etc.. they have broken our systems and now it’s time to pay the piper.. arrest warrants are needed, no more speeches, bailouts and coverups..

    on a domestic level …
on a domestic level US should practice free market, but on a global competitive market the U.S. would be better served with protectionism and tariffs. anybody that is against tariffs is against U.S. manufacturing.

    FIX the Republican …
FIX the Republican party that Progressive NeoCons like McCain destroyed.

Individual liberty, personal responsibility, limited Federal Gov’t, Sound money, competition between the Free States & competition among the FREE people.

NO MORE: Nation Building, Foreign Intervention, 737 US military bases occupying almost EVERY nation on the planet PRODUCING resistance fighters!

NO Isolationism (trade not tamper) & keep the giant corporations OUT of the people’s pockets by ending Corporatism.

    Enron was not what …
Enron was not what the media reported. General Electric paid pennies on the dollar for Enron Wind which is now the “Green” portion of General Electric. Lay did some shady things, was it to the level that the media portrayed? I am not certain but it appears that it was more hype due to General Electric than it was actually the level that was reported.
