The Feng Shui of Abundance is a different approach to creating wealth.
Most books in this arena focus attention only on the Western logical, goal-oriented actions we can take to decrease our expenses and increase our assets.
Since my early days as an accountant, I have learned that many other things are also important in creating abundance.
Include your dreams and heart
There are plenty of books about creating abundance from a seemingly rational step-by-step approach, yet ...
they leave out your imagination, your dreams, and your heart.
My purpose here is to communicate directly with you--with all of you--both the modern and recently rediscovered ancient ways of creating abundance.
Feng shui (pronounced fung shway) literally means free-flowing wind and water.
It is the ancient Chinese Art of Placement, to create harmony for people within an environment.
Feng Shui flows from the ancient Chinese Book of Changes, the I- Ching
pronounced ee-cheng) which dates back over 4,000 years, and is thought to be the oldest book in existence.
Using Feng Shui, the patterns of energy, the ones that flow, stagnate, experience a cross current, undertow, or totally stop are felt, seen, sometimes heard, are acknowledged by trained Feng Shui practitioners.
My approach is to delve into various Eastern and Western belief systems, the hidden messages we send to ourselves and others, and the growing awareness of the body and mind working together--or creating disease and distrust-- one to another.
We will see how harmonizing
breath
spirit
intentions
rational and creative mind
emotions
and physical objects
in a new series of patterns can lead to the ocean of abundance.
There are a series of systems in feng shui and within The Feng Shui of Abundance that enjoy a guiding strategy for engaging the River of Gold.
A Map
To get an overall perspective when you are down in the trenches of your everyday life, looking at a map, a pattern to follow, gives you a larger view of the journey.
So I have created a metaphorical map of the journey to abundance along the River of Gold.
This metaphorical map will assist you in understanding the various challenges and detours you experience from day to day.
Navigating through Rough Waters and The Doldrums will lead you to the Crystal Lake.
Rough Waters have plenty of water hazards:
Canyons where things narrow ... and sometimes speed up
Rapids with large rocks, hidden dangers and chaos
Crosscurrents & Undertows Are difficult to see from the shore and they require enoumous energy expenditures (and money) to make any progress
Underwater Intentionsthings below the surface always impact results open to the light of day
Commitment to Struggle like heading up stream without a paddle in a publically announced manner, this action receives some applause ... until the true cost comes to light
Whirlpools where challenges arrive fast enough to spin your head and your life
Portage Path where the River and your financial resources seem to disappear into very dangerous waters ... and you have to carry your vessel rather and have it carry you
Floodwaters where wealth suddenly appears and upsets everything in your life, sometimes drowning friends and family
Detours where you suddenly turn away from your deepest heart's desires just as you turned the corner to an expansive view
Five Currents create the River of Gold.
Each one will have it's own focus.
We'll begin to smooth out the challenging waters with the Feng Shui Current. First locating and then enhancing your Wealth Area.
And then refocus on your other Currents:
Emotional Current
Body-Sensations and Actions Current
Creative Current
also called the Visionary-Imaginative-Creative, VIC for victory
and finally your
Rational Current, your Rational-Analytical-Logical current,
RAL
for Ralph -- who regularly threatened to send his wife, Alice, off to the moon in the 1950s TV program, The Honeymooners
When Ralph and Alice worked together -- there was music, love, and smooth sailing on a Crystal Lake where abundance floated in with ease. Where a Spending Plan was something you could dance with and enjoy.
Bottom Line
You may come to enjoy your Spending Plan as much as your Creative Current enjoys music and art as you navigate the River of Gold.
